I am a BA/MD student at the University of New Mexico, which means I am still early on the long road to becoming a doctor. I have spent a lot of that road shadowing, studying, and paying close attention, and one thing has stuck with me more than anything else: the widest gaps in medicine are rarely about ability. They are about access. A patient who cannot manage a condition no one ever taught him to understand, and a student who never gets in because no one showed her how, are more alike than they look.
When I started out as a pre-med, the information that actually helps you get into medical school was scattered everywhere. It hid behind paywalls, it sat in old forum threads, half of the links were dead, and the honest advice was drowned out by companies selling a two thousand dollar course. I do not believe a person's future should depend on whether they can afford to be handed what is already free.
So I built the thing I wished existed. One place, free and honest, that gathers the best free and low-cost pre-med resources and lays out the path from freshman year to acceptance. I built it the way I would want it handed to someone in my own family: no ads, no account, and no catch. I care most about the students who cannot spend money on advising and prep, because that is exactly where a lot of good future doctors quietly fall off. If this saves even a few of them time, stress, or money, then it was worth building.
The principles
Free first
Everything here is free or low cost, and every resource is labeled, so you always know before you click. Information should not sit behind a paywall you did not know was there.
Nothing to sell
This is not a business. No ads, no affiliate links quietly steering you, no upsell waiting at the end. If I ever point to something paid, it is because it is genuinely worth it, not because I get a cut.
Honest and current
When a link breaks or something better comes along, it gets fixed. Information without accuracy is confident but useless, so I would rather list less and get it right.
Built by a peer
I am walking the same path you are, so this is the toolkit I actually use and wish someone had handed me on day one. Not advice from a company. Advice from someone one step ahead.
Help me keep it good
This only gets better with help. If a link is broken, a price has changed, or you know a free resource I have missed, I want to hear it. The best additions have always come from other pre-meds who found something worth passing on. We get further together than we do alone.
